A mean and ambitious king who spends hours counting his wealth; a man and a woman who have less than the spiders; a village of peasants who have been cheated by the monarch; and a cooking pot that goes from one place to another gathering and sharing out among the disadvantaged what, in justice, corresponds to them. Amusing traditional Danish story probably written with the idea of amusing and consoling those who only had fantasy at hand to entreat destiny. A homage to Daniel Castelao, a great defender of social justice.
